This afternoon at about 3:00 PM PT, the Test Center server was updated with an early build of Hellgate: London Patch 1.3. Patch 1.3 has grown much like Patch 1.2, starting off as an interim patch and developing into a significant content update. The patch offers an impressive selection of new features including Ranks and the Perk Points system, numerous emotes, character inspection, gambling, shared stash, and then some. More details are available in the Test Center Patch 1.3 notes, published on the Hellgate: London forum.
This early version of Patch 1.3 will be updated as new builds become available and ready for Test Center.
The full patch notes can also be seen on our forums.

Hellgaters fond of Hellgate: London’s offline mode have long-awaited the release of this hefty update. Single Player Patch 1.2 brings the Single Player client up to date with Multiplayer Patch 1.2. It contains all of the fixes, tweaks, and rebalances of Patch 0.7, Patch 1.0, Patch 1.1, Patch 1.1b, and Patch 1.2.
A build of this patch is now available for voluntary beta testing. Please be sure to make copies of all Hellgate: London Single Player save files before installing this patch. The beta of this patch can be download here and the full patch notes can be found here.
Please post all bugs in the Single Player Bugs forum and clarify that you’re using the Single Player Patch 1.2 Beta.

As recent news has announced, the two patches currently on the fast track to being ready for testing and release are Single Player Patch 1.2 and Multiplayer Patch 1.3. Even while these are being worked on, development on The Abyss Chronicles is underway. Over the past weeks there’s been concerns raised on the forum about the release of the latter, namely with regards to the “when”. The answer is what it’s always been: the second quarter of this year.
Initially, content experienced in Multiplayer Patch 1.2 and soon to be enjoyed in Multiplayer Patch 1.3 was slated for release with The Abyss Chronicles. In the interest of providing bigger, more meaty interim updates before the launch of Hellgate: London’s second major content update, we’ve been spending more time producing the patches since the launch of The Stonehenge Chronicles. However, this decision hasn’t drastically affected the release of The Abyss Chronicles update as some have feared.
The Abyss Chronicles, Patch 2.0, is currently estimated for launch in late May. It will be loaded to Test Center before this time to be fortified by player feedback and testing as do all of Hellgate: London’s updates. Now, as is necessary to point out with any estimate, unforeseen events may affect the Test Center and launch dates for better or for worse. However, when there is solid information on either situation to be shared, it will be announced with all speed.
In the interest of keeping to the title, I’ll end this update here with a final “quick word” on how we truly appreciate your patience and want nothing more but to provide every Hellgater out there with the best Hellgate: London experience we can offer. Thanks and good gaming to you all.

The official Hellgate London website has been updated with two awesome April Fools posts (or they really changed their plans regarding their franchise ;))
“This is a fantastic opportunity to present the strong, powerful female characters of the Hellgate universe to lovers of Barbie around the world,” said Bill Roper, CEO. “We have always sought to work with the best companies possible in bringing our world to other mediums, so having the chance to cooperate with Mattel in this way was something we couldn’t pass up.”
“We recognize the importance of a strong national educational program and have wanted to contribute to the instruction of future world-wide leaders for quite some time,” said Flagship CEO Bill Roper. “The creation of numerous collegiate-level programs and publication of post-apocalyptic guides have neglected students at the High School level. Our new programs at Hellgate High School will provide a rigorous education in a safe environment through which students can acquire the knowledge, skills, spells, and technology needed to fulfill their adult roles and responsibilities in the twenty-first century.”
